Day 3
We learned some Swahili! By this time, Rose is known by "Bibi" (grandma) and I'm known by "dada" (sister) and "mrembo" (beautiful woman) 😆 . We greet with "jambo" (hello) and "pole pole" (slow slow) to others passing past us. I became closer to our guides Leon and Mody further and I appreciate their attention to detail and leadership.
We enjoyed a hot lunch at 15500ft. I'm amazed at the efficiency and organization of the team: porters, cooks and guides. I had a pretty good day and finished early ahead of the group walking with Jimmy down to camp.
